Two Mums, Two Miracles

SAM:
In February 2020, just two weeks before his 3rd birthday, Sam was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).
Within days, our lives changed forever. Sam underwent a bone marrow biopsy before beginning chemotherapy immediately. Although he achieved remission after just 30 days, his treatment continued for two years and included countless hospital stays, procedures, general anaesthetics and a life-threatening reaction to chemotherapy that saw him placed into an induced coma in the PICU.
Despite everything he faced, Sam showed incredible courage and resilience every step of the way. He completed treatment in April 2022, and today, six years on from his diagnosis, he's a happy, healthy 9 year old who loves playing rugby, riding bikes with his mates, and anything to do with dirt bikes and cars.
FLYNN:
In October 2024, at just five months old, our beautiful Flynn was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. Since then, he has shown incredible strength through chemotherapy, major surgery, and countless hospital visits. Although some of the tumour remained, doctors were confident it would become benign, and Flynn was monitored with regular MRI scans.
After his tumour started growing again in June 2025, he completed a further six rounds of chemotherapy, and in October 2025 we received the amazing news that there were no remaining active cancer cells.
Today, Flynn continues to have MRI scans every three months but is back to living his best toddler life!
We're taking part in the Big Walk for Little Kids because we know firsthand how life-changing the support of organisations like Camp Quality can be. We walk for Sam, Flynn, for every child still fighting, and for every family navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis.
Every donation helps make a difference.
