Dotty

Energetic little Dotty was just two years old when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).

After weeks of infections, fevers and night sweats, Dotty was rushed to hospital where she was diagnosed and started treatment almost immediately. It was a huge shock for her family and the beginning of a difficult journey.

In hospital, Child Life Therapists helped Dotty understand procedures through play and brought comfort during some of her toughest days. Soon after, her family attended their first Camp Quality Family Camp, reconnecting and meeting other families who understood life with cancer.

Her favourite Camp Quality memory? Spending time outdoors with her new friends who made her laugh when she needed it most.

Hudson

Brave little Hudson was just two years old when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and bravely fought over two years of treatment.

While in hospital, other parents told his family about Camp Quality Camps and Fun Days – and they soon registered. At Camp, Hudson felt safe and included, surrounded by kids just like him.

Just last year, in November 2024, over two years after he was diagnosed, Hudson finished maintenance treatment and can now focus on having fun and creating happy memories with his family and Camp Quality.

His favourite Camp Quality memory? All of them. But the Convoy for Kids were definitely highlights – he loves trucks!

Luca

Brave little Luca was just three years old when she was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Just days later, Luca underwent eight hours of brain surgery. Thankfully, the surgeons were able to remove the tumour, but her road to recovery was long.

During her time in hospital, Luca was visited by the Camp Quality Puppets, who never failed to bring a big smile to her face. They were always the highlight of her day.

Not long after, Luca's family went on their very first Family Camp – their first real holiday in years. It was a chance for them to laugh, reconnect and create happy new memories away from the stresses of cancer.

Her favourite Camp Quality memory? Holding a snake and getting up close with lizards at one of the Kids’ Camps!

Tilly

Brave little Tilly was just two years old when she was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

Throughout her time in hospital, the Camp Quality Puppets would visit Tilly to bring some much needed joy and laughter as she underwent treatment.

One year after her diagnosis, Tilly is doing well. She's nearing the end of her active treatment and is now on maintenance chemotherapy.

Her adventure with Camp Quality has just begun! This year, Tilly is proudly taking part in The Big Walk for Little Kids to help other kids and families going through cancer.

Her favourite Camp Quality memory? Watching the seal show at Sea Life and cuddling up to cute animals at the Noosa Family Camp.
