Support my Big Walk for Little Kids
Every month, 64 Australian families are given the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer. ❤️🩹
This September, I’m taking part in Camp Quality’s Big Walk for Little Kids during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Since becoming a nurse, I’ve realised even more how much illness can affect not just the person who is unwell, but their whole family. Working with children and families has made me appreciate how important it is for kids to still have moments where they can laugh, play, feel happy and just be kids, even when they are going through something so incredibly difficult.
That’s what I love about Camp Quality. They give children and their families a chance to take a break from cancer and create happy memories together, when they need it most.
I feel really lucky to have chosen a career where I get to care for people and hopefully make a difference, and being able to put that into something outside of my everyday nursing role makes this walk even more meaningful to me. 🩷
So this September, I’ll be walking for the little kids who are fighting cancer, for their brothers and sisters, for their parents and for all the families whose lives have been changed by a diagnosis they never expected.
As Camp Quality says, “laughter is the best medicine” and I couldn’t agree more.
If you’re able to support my walk, I would genuinely appreciate it so much. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps Camp Quality bring more laughter, fun and normality back into the lives of children and families facing cancer.
Thank you so much for supporting me and this very special cause. It really means a lot to me. 💛
Let’s get walking for the little kids!🩵
