Support my Big Walk for Little Kids
Every month, 64 Australian families are given the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer.
This September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I'm taking part in Big Walk for Little Kids to bring fun, positivity and laughter back into the lives of little kids facing cancer.
Every dollar I raise will fund Camp Quality's services and programs to help little kids who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a brother, sister, mum or dad.
After working as a nurse in Oncology, I have seen how ruthless cancer can be and the impact it has on adults and their families. It must take amazing strength and resilience for a child and their loved ones to go through the same thing- and I can’t even begin to express my admiration for paediatric oncology nurses.
Over the past 3 years I have been quite sick and my health was literally turned upside down. I am at the stage now where I am trying to move more throughout the day. I figured the best way to do this was to walk 64km over a month for an important cause :) If I don’t manage it, at least I tried!
Thank you so much if you got to the end!
So far, I have helped provide...
