Walk for Josie
As many of you know, our brave Josie has overcome many obstacles in her two years earthbound. One of them being a cancer diagnosis at 5 months old.
While the gruelling days of chemo are a distant memory, the impact of this dreadful disease will unfortunately be lifelong. Josie and many children like her face a lifetime of follow-ups and uncomfortable procedures to ensure that the cancer is held at bay.
So far Josie has endured 6 months of chemo, 22 general anaesthetics including 3 operations and many procedures on her eyes. Countless bloodwork done sometimes multiple times per week, lengthy hospital stays and time away from her family.. despite this adversity and being diagnosed with a secondary disability, she is absolutely thriving and amazes us everyday.
Josie is smart, funny, caring and social. She envelops those around her in sunshine and pure joy.
This month, I would like to raise funds for children in similar circumstances to those that Josie has faced and show families that whilst there is a long road ahead, there is laughter and positivity in the everyday.
I will be walking 64km this month to raise money for families facing a devastating diagnosis.
Please give generously to this wonderful cause and help bring the sunshine, just like Josie!
Every month, 64 Australian families are given the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer.
Every dollar I raise will fund Camp Quality's services and programs to help little kids who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a brother, sister, mum or dad.
Please support my BIG walk to give little kids and families the break from cancer they urgently need. As they say at Camp Quality "laughter is the best medicine", so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.
Thank you so much!
