Why I walk
Every month, 64 Australian families hear the devastating news that their child has cancer. This September, I'm taking part in the Big Walk for Little Kids to help Camp Quality bring laughter, fun and support to kids and families facing cancer. Every donation helps fund programs that give families a much-needed break from cancer. If you can, please support my walk. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you so much! 💛What CQ means to me!
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma when I was two years and eight months old and introduced to Camp Quality shortly after starting treatment at Sydney childrens hospital. Not long after, my family joined Camp Quality, and I attended my very first Junior Camp when I was four.
Over the years, my family and I have been part of so many amazing Camp Quality experiences — from fun days and family weekends to Christmas parties and countless kids’ camps.
Through these camps, I’ve had the chance to do some incredible things — climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, horse riding, motorbike riding, visiting Dreamworld, Movie World, Green Valley Farm, Pet Porpoise Pool, zoos — and so much more!
I’ve tackled high ropes and giant swings, did a cooking class with Justine Schofield, and even met Beccy Cole, Ricki-Lee, and Andrew G, just to name a few.
Our grad camp group even got a police escort in stretched limousines to our formal graduation dinner— it was amazing!
Growing up with Camp Quality, I always looked forward to camp each year — not just for the fun, but for the friendships and the memories that reminded me that laughter truly is the best medicine. I finished my final Grad Camp when I was 15, but the friendships with other campers and companions and memories I made have stayed with me ever since.
Now, at 26, I’m so proud to be back — this time as a volunteer companion. So far I’ve been lucky enough to attend 2 Family Fun Day, Family Camp, and 2 Kids Combo Camp at across NSW.
Your time, generosity, and fundraising make these camps possible for kids and families affected by cancer.
Camp Quality truly makes a difference — I’m talking from experience.
Thank you so much for continuing to support Camp Quality.
So far, I have helped provide...
