Support my Big Walk for Little Kids

So... It's no mystery why anyone would consider raising funds for this cause. This particularly hits close to home as it's part of my origin story to becoming a nurse. For those of you who don't know - when I was a youngster, not yet jaded by life, I became a carer of someone similar age to me who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).

Being in and out of the children's ward, it was a privilege to get to know the other families going through their own journeys - watching kids fight to walk and talk again, hearing the victory bell ring, and sitting with parents or family members during their darkest moments - shaped who I am today and has made clear where support is needed.

While my nursing career takes a pause to raise my own family, I'd still like to give-back! During my postpartum period, I've been trying to think of a goal to have. This is it. "Walk like mad" with my littlest boy, to support Camp Quality.  It would be an honour to have your support in this mission and see any contributions.

Below is the generic schpiel but I wanted to add my personal message as to why this is particularly important to me 💕 have a read.

Every month, 64 Australian families are given the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer.

This September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I'm taking part in Big Walk for Little Kids to bring fun, positivity and laughter back into the lives of little kids facing cancer.

Every dollar I raise will fund Camp Quality's services and programs to help little kids who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a brother, sister, mum or dad.

Please support my BIG walk to give little kids and families the break from cancer they urgently need. As they say at Camp Quality "laughter is the best medicine", so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.

Thank you so much!

Well i'm knackered... but support our big walk for big kids!

Took myself to the Easy Albury hills whilst wearing Billy in the carrier. Don't know if I would have pushed myself had it not been for a cause! Dont forget to contribute any way you can! Even just by sharing the link 💕

So far, I have helped provide...

4 kids supported through a scary medical procedure by a Child Life Therapist.

3 kids filled with laughter from their hospital bed during a playdate with our puppets.

1 families to take a break from cancer and reconnect at a 5-day Family Retreat.
