Support my Big Walk for Little Kids
Every month, 64 Australian families are given the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer.
This September during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I'm taking part in Big Walk for Little Kids to bring fun, positivity and laughter back into the lives of little kids facing cancer.
Every dollar I raise will fund Camp Quality's services and programs to help little kids who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a brother, sister, mum or dad.
Please support my BIG walk to give little kids and families the break from cancer they urgently need. As they say at Camp Quality "laughter is the best medicine", so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.
There we many times whilst we were in hospital with Riannon that we created times to laugh:) We would shoot water at the nurses through syringes, we did party poppers on one particular occasion hoping not to cause sprinklers to go off:), we challenged the nurses to sing songs with Ranns toy microphone, we played other tricks on the nurses any chance we could;) Obviously these moments for laughter depended on Ranns energy & health on specific days…. She had chemo for 4 months, radiation for 2 weeks, a 5 hour long surgery to remove the tumor, but tumor returned! So Rann was then given the strongest chemo ever given to a child in Aus! She had her stem cells harvested and 5 mini transplants!!! BRUTAL to say the least. So ANY chance to enable these little people who are currently dealing with their own cancer to smile, to laugh, to giggle, to forget their pain for even the briefest of moments is very worthwhile! We know how much laughter helped our girl….
Love you to support my walk again this year friends. Yes we are all feeling the cost of living but even the smallest amount enables Camp Quality to help these precious little munchkins to feel normal, to enjoy themselves, to be happy as they giggle, forgetting their current situations some what.
