I’m fundraising to help Camp Quality support kids facing cancer. Because every day, two Aussie families are given the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer.

Camp Quality gives kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again. Our services and programs are made specifically to help children 0 -15 who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of someone they love, like a brother, sister, mum or dad.

Why I volunteer with Camp Quality

For nearly 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of being a Camp Quality volunteer. It’s a role that means so much to me, not only because of the joy and strength I see in the kids and families we support, but also because of what I gain in return.

Camp is a place where smiles, laughter, optimism and resilience take centre stage. It’s where kids facing incredibly tough challenges can simply be kids, and their families can find moments of relief and connection. Being part of creating those experiences is deeply rewarding.

Recently, cancer has touched my life in a very personal way. Watching and supporting my partner Richard go through his own cancer journey has given me an even greater appreciation for the challenges families face and the importance of support networks like Camp Quality. It’s reinforced my commitment to giving back and being there for others during such difficult times.

Volunteering has taught me so much about the power of community, hope, and positivity. I’m grateful for the chance to make a difference and to be inspired by the courage of these kids.
