Motocyc is Camp Quality’s annual three-day motorcycle adventure through regional NSW. Riders choose between scenic sealed roads and off-the-beaten-track dirt and gravel, but everyone shares the same destination: helping bring positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer.
It’s a weekend of camaraderie, fundraising and adventure, supported by an experienced team that helps keep the ride safe, welcoming and memorable.
WHERE IT BEGAN
From An Idea to an annual tradition
Motocyc began in 2016, after Damian “Damo” Charleson took part in Camp Quality’s 1000Ks 4 Kids cycle challenge and saw an opportunity to recreate its spirit on motorbikes.
Damo brought his mates along and has remained a vital committee member ever since. What started with 22 riders has grown into a loyal community of riders, volunteers and sponsors—including Jayco Newcastle, which has supported Motocyc since day one.

Thousands of kilometres explored
TWO ROUTES. ONE COMMUNITY.
Over the years, Motocyc has explored thousands of kilometres of regional NSW. Recent routes have included Newcastle, Armidale, Port Macquarie, Mudgee, Blackheath, Singleton and the Hunter, Northern Tablelands, Central West and Central Tablelands on both gravel and dirt routes.
For example, 2024 travelled Heatherbrae → Armidale → Port Macquarie → Heatherbrae; 2025 travelled from Heatherbrae through the Central West, overnighting in Mudgee and Blackheath; and the 10th anniversary in 2026 travelled from Singleton to Armidale for two nights before returning to Newcastle.
