What is Giggle Day?

Camp Quality’s Giggle Day is an opportunity for schools to have fun, fundraise and provide age-appropriate cancer education for students. You will be equipped with fundraising resources and lesson plans to help navigate cancer in the school community.

Throughout June students will write and share jokes to raise money, create smiles, inspire laughter and brighten the lives of kids facing cancer.

Through your generous fundraising, you’ll help provide camps, services and fun events to kids and families when they need them the most. There are over 4,886 families registered for Camp Quality’s free programs and services, and we couldn’t do it without you!

What support will I receive from Camp Quality?

Our Giggle Day team will be there to support you every step of the way with your fundraising. We will be there from the point of registration right through to the end of your fundraiser, whether that be via email or phone. We are here to help!

When do I start?

Camp Quality’s Giggle Day starts on Thursday, 1 June and ends on Friday, 30 June 2023.

However, once you register and your fundraising page is created, your school can start collecting donations at any time!

Do you have any resources available to help teachers?

Yes, absolutely! Please check out the resources section of the website. Once registered, you will also recieve an email giving access to Camp Quality's lesson plans, aligned with the Australian Curriculum, Early Years Learning Framework and state-based curriculums, which provide age-appropriate cancer education. 

Once I’ve registered, what’s next?

After you register you will receive a confirmation email with login details for your online fundraising page and instructions on how to personalise it and share your page with the school community. You’ll also receive our tips and tricks to support you before and during the event.  

FUNDRAISING

How do I set up my online fundraising page?

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll automatically be given a school fundraising page where you can update your profile with details about your Giggle Day and share photos with your school community. 

Make sure you share the link on your school social media pages, newsletter and school app so your community knows what you’re doing and how to get involved. 

Where do the funds I raise go?

The money you raise for Camp Quality will help over 10,120 registered kids benefit from our much-needed programs and sevices. For information on Camp Quality programs and services, visit: https://www.campquality.org.au/how-we-help/

What is the link to my online fundraising page?

You would have received this link in your initial registration confirmation email, and it is also on your profile. If you can’t find it, please email [email protected].

What should I do if I lose the login details to my online fundraising page?

Visit the Giggle Day website to log in. Click 'forgot password' and an email will be sent to your inbox to create a new one.

Are there any rules about fundraising I should know about?

Yes, there are rules to ensure your fundraising is compliant with local fundraising legislation in your state. Once registered, you will receive an email from us with your Authority to Fundraise and Terms & Conditions. Camp Quality is here to guide you through this to ensure your event is compliant. 

How do I change the profile picture on my page?

  1. Log in to your profile. 
  2. Navigate to 'My Dashboard'. 
  3. Click the yellow camera icon and upload image. 
  4. Press save. 

What happens if I don't reach my goal?

That's OK! You can increase or decrease your goal at any point throughout the challenge on your dashboard. Please get in touch with the team if you need help adjusting your goal by emailing [email protected].

How do I change my fundraising goal?

To change your fundraising goal:  

  1. 'Log in' to your profile. 
  2. Click on 'My Page'. 
  3. Click on ‘Edit My Page’. 
  4. Scroll down and change the ‘Fundraising Target’. 
  5. Click on 'Update Details'.

DONATIONS

Are donations tax-deductible?

Any donation over $2 is tax-deductible. A receipt will be sent to the email address provided when the donation is made.

How do I upload 'offline' cash donations to my page?

If you’ve received cash and want to add it to your page, all you have to do is: 
 
1. Log in to your dashboard. 
2. Go to ‘My Donations’ and click ‘Add Offline Donation’. 
3. Fill in the details to issue a receipt to the individual/team who gave you the cash.

Can donations be made by credit card or PayPal?

Yes! People can donate to your fundraising page using either credit card or PayPal. Once the donation has been made, the donor will appear at the bottom of your page (unless they choose to remain anonymous). They will receive an automatic receipt via email.
