Killer Cars are fundraising to help Camp Quality

Killer Cars Melbourne, our amazing sponsors, friends & followers are fundraising to help Camp Quality support kids facing cancer.

We are currently raising funds in partnership with Ron Barclay and the greater Australian car community.

Ron Barclay had pledged to donate the full $20,000 prize money if his ’67 Camaro, Plain Jane, took out Street Machine of the Year (SMOTY).

Although Ron finished as runner-up and the prize money narrowly slipped away, with the support of Killer Cars and you our amazing supporters we believe we can still make this goal a reality by jointly raising & donating $20,000 to Camp Quality.

Every dollar makes a difference, so please give generously and help us turn this dream into a reality.

Camp Quality gives kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again. Their services and programs are made specifically to help children 0 -15 who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of someone they love, like a brother, sister, mum or dad.

It would be awesome if you could help too, by donating to help us reach our target.

As they say at Camp Quality “laughter is the best medicine”, so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.

Thanks!

On behalf of the Falcon GT Club of Victoria, it is our pleasure to donate $1,000 to Camp Quality through Ron Barclay, honouring the pledge he made should he win Street Machine of the Year. Although he didn't win the title, we believe the cause is what truly matters. We hope this contribution helps him reach his original target and supports the wonderful work Camp Quality does for children and families facing cancer.

Rom Barclay's offer to donate all of his SMOTY winnings was inspriational. As a fellow finalist with my mustang in this years SMOTY awards I also said to myself I would also donate if I had won. So when Ron didn't win I called him to offer to donate to Camp Quality as it is such a worthy cause. Well done to Ron for coming up with this initiative and for Michael from Killer cars for helping organise the fundraising element. I am hoping fellow SMOTY finalists can also dig deep to donate to this worthy charity. (Just hold off on ordering parts for a month... ) Let's all help reach the combined goal of $20,000 to help support kids facing cancer.

Michael and the team at Killer Cars Melbourne are honoured to be part of this journey. While the title of Street Machine of the Year eluded us this year, we remain determined to achieve our goal of raising $20,000 to support the kids at Camp Quality. With the support of our incredible sponsors and you, our friends and followers we truly believe this goal is within reach. We’re proud to be part of this fundraising initiative and sincerely thank everyone for getting behind us to help make it happen.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who voted for my ’67 Camaro Plain Jane in the recent Street Machine of the Year (SMOTY) awards. I had publicly committed that, if I were fortunate enough to win, I would donate the entire prize money to Camp Quality. While I’m incredibly proud to have finished runner-up, especially having won SMOTY 35 years ago with my HQ ute I still want to honour that commitment and find a way to raise the $20,000 to support the kids at Camp Quality. With the help of Killer Cars, our many generous sponsors, and you our friends and supporters I’m hopeful we can still achieve this goal. To kick things off, I’m starting with a personal donation of $1,000. I’m confident that, together, we can make this happen. Thank you in advance for your generosity and continued support.
