I'm fundraising to help Camp Quality

For my 18th instead of gifts and such, I would prefer you to put those funds towards this fundraiser.

I am fundraising to help Camp Quality support children with cancer. Because every day, two Aussie families are given the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer.

In 2009, at the age of 6 in year 1, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), a rare type of cancer which most often affects children and two years later after treatment I was diagnosed for the second time with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) due to previous treatment.

In year 1, and repeat year 2, I had to leave school and begin months of treatment in hospital which included chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery and core blood transplant. Putting me away from my friends of the time and my education to a pause.

Camp Quality helped me find happiness during a stressful and traumatic time, as they say “laughter is the best medicine”. This was achieved through camps, retreats, family fun days, gifts, ward rounds and many others. Giving kids like myself a chance to be a kid again.

This is why I would like to use my 18th to fundraise for Camp Quality, so kids and families with kids dealing with cancer, find happiness.

It would be awesome if you could help too, by donating to help me reach my target.

As they say at Camp Quality “laughter is the best medicine”, so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.

Thanks!

Together we can make a difference!
