Kilos 4 Quality at BFT GO!

We are fundraising to help Camp Quality support kids facing cancer. Because every day, two Aussie families are given the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer.

Daniel (DJ) has overcome many challenges associated with working through Cancer and his story is nothing short of inspirational. He now embodies a lifestyle of health, wellness and gratitude for movement. He leads by example not just to those who know him at the BFT Glen Osmond Studio, but to those he volunteers with at Camp Quality.

Camp Quality gives kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again. Our services and programs are made specifically to help children 0 -15 who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of someone they love, like a brother, sister, mum or dad.

Over the next 9 weeks, BFT will be challenging our members to overcome their preconceptions of strength by undertaking The Benchmark; a training block specifically designed to progress two fundamental lifts, the Barbell Deadlift and Barbell Bench Press. Our promise at BFT Glen Osmond is for every combined kilo of progress made by the end of the 8 week training block, we will match this in repetitions shared between a 60kg Deadlift, and a 40kg Bench Press.

For example: 1000kg of combined progress = 1000 repetitions shared between the two exercises. If we were to split this 50/50, that would be 30,000kg on the Deadlift, and 20,000kg on the Bench Press.

Most of us have been fortunate enough to grow up playing team sports and being part of community based hobbies, all of which have led us to living a fit and healthy lifestyle. Here at BFT Glen Osmond, we are even more fortunate to have a community full of members who not only live this lifestyle, but show gratitude every day that they are able to move and participate in our program. It is because of this gratitude that we want to show our appreciation through the gift of challenge and movement.
