Support our Big Walk for Little Kids
Every day, 2 Australian families are given the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer.
For our family, it was Friday, 28 January 2022 when our little Alfie was rushed to hospital with a suspected tumour on his liver. Alfie was only 9 months old.
Since this time, Alfie was diagnosed with stage 4 Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer). Alfie was required to undergo extensive chemotherapy, following which he underwent a partial hemihepatectomy and had 40% of his liver removed along with his gallbladder. Alfie made a triumphant recovery, and is now undergoing further chemotherapy.
Whilst undergoing chemotherapy, little Alfie learnt to walk, and our little boy loves to run, run, run. It is therefore only fitting that this September, we are #ambling4aflie and walking 100 km to raise funds for Camp Quality.
All funds raise go to supporting Camp Quality's services and programs to help children aged 0-15 years old who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a family member.
By creating positive memories, Camp Quality helps change the cancer story for kids and their families. Please support our walk to give kids and families the break from cancer they urgently need.
As they say at Camp Quality “laughter is the best medicine”, so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.
Thank you so much.
