What kind of car do I need to do esCarpade?

All entrant vehicles must be at least 20 years old and pass the scrutineering checklist. Vehicle registration must cover the period of esCarpade. In addition to Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP), all esCarpade vehicles must be covered by either Third Party Property Damage OR Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance. What does it cost?

There is a registration fee per person of $565 which must be paid prior to the start of esCarpade. This will cover all meals on the event from breakfast on Day One right through to the final day of the event (excluding breakfast & lunch on the lay day) as well as a Camp Quality branded shirt and cap.  All fuel, accommodation and car maintenance is to be covered by the entrants.

Do I need to book my own accommodation?

All teams are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodation. Camp Quality will produce an accommodation guide. This provides you with some suggested options in each of the towns we pass through as well as some dinner suggestions if you would like to arrange your accommodation to be close by. Please remember accommodation can sometimes be a little hard to come by especially when visiting the more regional locations, so it’s a good idea to plan and book as soon as possible. We do encourage you to buddy up and look at twin accommodation. We will let you know once this is available for download!

What about my luggage?

There is a luggage truck for storage. It can transport your excess baggage from one town to the next for $20 each suitcase or large box for the week. The luggage truck will be at breakfast each morning for you to drop off what you need and at check-in location each afternoon to pick up what you need.

What is the minimum to fundraise?

The minimum amount to raise is $5,000 per car entry and this must be raised prior to the start of the event. Any money received after this date will be added to your tally post event. All monies for each year must be receipted by 31st December 2018 or will be receipted to the following year’s fundraising totals.

How do I fundraise?

The Camp Quality events team is here to support you through all your fundraising efforts. we also have a heap of hints, tips and ideas within our fundraising tool kit. We will let you know once these are available for download in your fundraising portal. If you need any other help please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us at esCarpade@campquailty.org.au.

Can we join forces with other cars to fundraise?

Yes, you absolutely can. You can partner up with others and pull your cars together to be part of a wider team. Please note though there is still a minimum to fundraise of $5,000 per car.

What happens if my car breaks down?

In the instance of a breakdown, we travel with a fleet of mechanical workshops (MW’s) who will be there to assist you. It may be that your vehicle can’t be fixed and in this case the MW will transport you to the nearest town.

How many co-drivers can I take?

There is a minimum of two people in the car and a maximum of four people.

Are we covered under Camp Quality’s public liability insurance?

No. You need your own Compulsory Third Party Insurance. As part of our Risk Assessment and Safety Requirements for esCarpade in addition to Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTP), all esCarpade vehicles must be covered by either Third Party Property Damage OR Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance.  The insurance policy must be valid for any vehicle to be able to participate in ANY Camp Quality organised events.

Are there events during esCarpade?

As part of esCarpade we visit schools along the way to take part of our Primary School Education Program that answers difficult questions kids have about cancer. There are also plenty of Fun Stops along the way which is time for you to get out of your vehicle stretch your legs and maybe hit a golf ball, bob for apples or hit for six. Many of the towns we visit we are welcomed by a breakfast, lunch or dinner put on by the community, which is a great opportunity for everyone to see the cars and have fun with the community. On the last day, esCarpade has a family fun day which is filled with fun, games and the arrival of our wacky cars!
