Every 1000ks 4 Kids challenge is one to be remembered. One of the reasons it is such an amazing event is due to the passionate community involved. All of our participants are remarkable people who are keen to take on this challenge and support families facing the trauma of a cancer diagnosis. As we shift to a digital delivery, this amazing community will continue to create a sense of camaraderie, even when we aren't able to complete the journey together. We will still celebrate the highs and lows that come with every kilometre that is ridden and we are more determined than ever to create lasting memories and friendships, as well as focus on the impact each person is making.
WHAT KEEPS OUR ENTRANTS SPINNING
As well as having an absolute blast, all our riders are involved in some serious fundraising. Every donation will give kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again.

Kristi Ayerst, first time rider 2018
“If you’re wondering if this ride is for the “everyday person”, then I am your proof. I was unfit, hadn’t ridden a bike since I was a kid and didn’t even own a bike.
You will be surrounded by positivity and make lifelong friends. You will meet children who have been impacted by cancer, be inspired and so thankful for everything good in your life. You will stop sweating the small stuff. You will laugh. You will cry. You will be challenged, but you will not be alone, and you will conquer your fears!
All whilst raising funds for Camp Quality, where laughter really is the best medicine!”

Jaydo Rowett, Team Captain 2018
“I have been part of the 1000ks 4 kids family for over 4 years now. To say it has been a life changing experience would be an understatement. I was lucky enough on my second year to be selected to captain the blue team. As one of the more experienced riders this enabled me to bring in new ideas into the preparation and the safety aspects of the ride.
I am so thankful I came across this charity and fantastic event. It has changed my perspective on life and makes you realise that everyone can make a difference. You will NOT regret it!”

Andy Olrich, first time rider 2018
"I am so proud and happy I signed up for the 2018 1000ks 4 Kids. I was nervous having never ridden a road pushy before, but I was able to do all the training and the unbelievable ride itself thanks to the incredible support from the Camp Quality Team, fellow riders & the support crew.
It is something you need to experience for yourself to fully understand how special it is to be a part of, and how much of a positive difference you are making to the kids whose lives have been impacted by cancer.”
