Team Theo

Theo was two years old when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. He started gruelling chemotherapy treatment straight away, a process that would take two years. The side effects of chemotherapy including a weakened immune system meant Theo spent most of his time isolated in hospital or at home.

Theo’s family were desperate for a break when Camp Quality offered one of our new Family Retreats on Phillip Island. Theo’s mum Ebony says it was a chance to make happy new memories at a really difficult time.

"It was a much-needed getaway to just do something different and we had the most incredible time. It was our first escape as a family since Theo was diagnosed. We laughed, we played, we adventured. It was just the best to see the kids’ happy faces down at the beach.

Camp Quality put smiles on our faces and because of that we’re going to look back on this time and know that we tried our best to get a positive out of all of this.”
