In Year 1, you can join with any type of car (we will send you a list of items the car MUST have to be able to go on the event) or 4WD if it is roadworthy and registered. Once you have realised you love wesCarpade and come back for Year 2, that car will then need to be themed. You will need CTP insurance and Third Party Property damage or Full Comprehensive insurance.

Your car doesn't need to be ready when you register. You'll have the opportunity to have your car checked by our mechanics in the lead up to the event at pre-scrutineering.

What happens if my car breaks down?
In the instance of a breakdown, we travel with a fleet of mechanical workshops (MWs) who will be there to assist you. It may be that your vehicle can’t be fixed and, in this case, the MW will transport you to the nearest town.
What percentage of the trip is dirt?
The percentage of dirt and bitumen can change from year to year but, on average, around 80 percent of the route is on dirt!
