How much does it cost to take part in esCarpade?

add remove

Your registration fee of $635 per person helps us to cover some of the logistics and safety costs of running an epic event like esCarpade; from fundraising support in the lead up to the event, logistics and safety costs, printed materials and more. Your rego fee covers all meals from breakfast on Day One right through to the final day (with the exception of Lay Day where you’ll organise your own meals).

You will also receive a Camp Quality T-shirt and cap, as well as car decals.

All fuel, accommodation and car maintenance is covered by entrants.

You can choose to pay in full when you sign up or pay a $200 per person deposit to secure your spot. If you choose to pay in two instalments, the final payment of $435 is due by 31 August 2024.

Do I need to book my own accommodation?

add remove

All teams are responsible for arranging and paying for their own accommodation. Camp Quality will produce an accommodation guide. This provides you with some suggested options in each of the towns we pass through, as well as some dinner suggestions if you would like to arrange your accommodation to be close by.

Please remember accommodation can sometimes be a little hard to come by, especially when visiting the more regional locations, so it’s a good idea to plan and book as soon as possible. We do encourage you to buddy up and look at twin accommodation. We will let you know when the accommodation guide is available for download!

How many co-drivers can I take?

add remove

Each car must have a minimum of two people and a maximum of four people.

Does everyone have to register?

add remove

Yes. Everyone must complete the registration process for themselves, which includes signing the waiver and event Terms & Conditions.

What happens after I register?

add remove

As soon as you sign up, you’ll be welcomed to the esCarpade event with a phone call.

You’ll receive regular emails and communications to keep you up to date with everything you need to know, including reminders about key dates and important event information.

Meet your fellow esCarpadians at pre-scrutineering in August 2024 where we check your vehicles to ensure they meet all the requirements in our scrutineering checklist. Safety first!

On Saturday, 19 October 2024 you'll meet at the designated meeting location for final scrutineering. We call this Day 0, which is when scrutineers will do a final check of all cars, followed by an official driver briefing and welcome dinner. The next day we hit the dirt on Day 1 of esCarpade.

Car Requirements

What type of car do I need to participate?

add remove

You can join with any type of car or 4WD which is at least 20 years old as long as it’s roadworthy and registered. You will need CTP insurance and Third Party Property damage or Full Comprehensive insurance.

Does my car need to be event ready when I register?

add remove

No. Your car doesn't need to be ready when you register. You'll have the opportunity to have your car checked by our mechanics in the lead up to the event at pre-scrutineering.

To take part in esCarpade, your car will need to pass the Scrutineering Checklist.

What are the scrutineering requirements?

add remove
All esCarpade cars are required to attend to two scrutineering checks:

  1.  Pre Scruntineering - This is where our mechanics take a look under the hood. Don’t worry, the car doesn’t need to be event-ready for this check, our mechanics can give you some tips and tricks on the day!
  2. Final Scrutineering - We’ll take one final look under the hood to make sure everything checks out before we head off on our epic adventure.

To take part in esCarpade, your car will need to pass the Scrutineering Checklist.

Is there a minimum fundraising amount?

add remove

Every car is required to fundraise a minimum of $5,000.

To take part, you need to make sure this amount is showing on your fundraising page before 19 October 2024.

Can I fundraise with other cars?

add remove

You can partner up with others and pull your cars together to be part of a team. As long as you raise $5,000 per car, then you are set.

Where does the money go?

add remove

The money raised from Camp Quality's esCarpade helps brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer.

Our programs and services help families build optimism and resilience through community, education and fun. We are there for kids (0-15) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling or parent, every step of the way: in hospital, at school, online, and away from it all at our camps and retreats.
