Event Overview

What is Conquer Cancer Australia?

add remove

It’s not just a run, it’s a world record attempt. For 4 straight weeks, we’ll keep a baton moving around Princes Park, clocking over 6,500 km. All to raise big dollars for Camp Quality and the Florey Institute. Guinness Records, cancer research, and a whole lot of sweat.

When and where is the event taking place?

add remove

From Saturday 2nd May to Sunday 31 May 2026, Princes Park in Melbourne becomes the stage. Day or night, rain or shine, the baton won’t stop, and neither will we.

How many people will take part?

add remove

We’re talking 672 runners and 1,000+ support legends. That’s more people than a suburban footy final crowd . All united to keep the baton flying and the donations rolling.

How will the Guinness World Record be verified?

add remove

By the book, and by the baton. Every handover is photographed, time-stamped, GPS-tracked, and witnessed. Guinness doesn’t hand out world records lightly, so we’ll tick every box.

Who are the event’s charity partners?

add remove
Camp Quality – making life brighter for kids with cancer and their families.

The Florey Institute – world-class brain cancer and medical research.
Your legs fuel their work.

Registration & Participation

Can anyone join?

add remove
Pretty much! If you’re 16 or older, you can grab a slot. Under 16? Don’t worry , you can still get involved by cheering, fundraising, or volunteering. Everyone’s got a role in this epic relay.

 How does the relay work?

add remove

Think tag-team running. Each runner takes a 1-hour slot, baton in hand. One official runner is on the clock, but friends, clubs, or teams can tag along for the ride. Night shifts (11pm–5am) get bonus points for toughness, and yes, you can bring a mate.

How can I participate as a runner?

add remove
Simple: Book a 1-hour slot online, show up, and run your hour with pride. Oh, and rally your mates, family, and work crew to chip in for your fundraising goal. Expect cheers, high-fives, a medal-worthy selfie at the finish, plus become a Guiness World Record Holder.

Can I be involved without running?

add remove
Absolutely. We need support crew, fundraisers, donors, and ambassadors. You can verify baton handovers, hand out water, help with donations, or just make noise and bring awareness for the event. Not all heroes wear sneakers.

Fundraising & Costs

How much money do you plan to raise?

add remove

We’re going big: $1 million. Half from runners raising around $500 each, and the rest from generous sponsors, donors, and our gala event. Cancer doesn’t muck around, and neither do we.

Is there a limit on how much you can donate?

add remove

Nope. $10? You’re a legend. $10,000? We’ll probably name our water station after you. Every single dollar fuels cancer research and support,  and buys you good karma points for life.

How can businesses get involved?

From Platinum Sponsors to Baton Sponsors, we’ve got packages to suit. Sponsors score prime brand exposure (shirts, banners, socials, gala night shout-outs) while making a tax-deductible impact. It’s marketing with a conscience.
