Fundraising Legends
Our Fundraising Legends
Fundraising Legends are the big-hearted people and communities who turn ideas into impact. From handmade gifts and mini marathons to raffles, challenges and community events, every fundraiser helps Camp Quality bring fun, positivity and laughter to kids and families facing cancer. We are so grateful to each legend who gives their time, energy and heart to make a difference.
Little Toys Go a Long Way
Handmade with heart, from the Old Blokes Shed to Camp Quality kids
What began as a simple gathering of good mates at the Old Blokes Shed grew into something truly special. Inspired by Gary’s heartfelt wish to support sick kids like his grandchild, who is facing leukaemia, the group rolled up their sleeves and handmade wooden toys, bird boxes, feeders and festive decorations.
With the support of the Alstonville Quota Club and their generous community, these little toys helped raise an incredible $1,600 for Camp Quality. We are so grateful for the care, craftsmanship and kindness behind every item made.
Kick 4 Camp Quality Hunter Valley Martial Arts
A community Kick-A-Thon full of determination, fun and big-hearted fundraising
Fundraising result: $27,733 raised
Over six action-packed weeks, kids and adults took on kicks, push-ups and plenty of friendly competition to raise funds for Camp Quality. The challenge finished with a celebration day filled with big smiles, Lego prizes, the chance to slime a Sensei, and a wonderful sense of community spirit.
Together, this incredible Kick-A-Thon raised $27,733 to support kids and families facing cancer. Every kick, every push-up and every dollar showed what can happen when a community comes together with purpose, energy and heart.
Archer’s Mini Marathon
Proof that no one is too small to make a big difference
At just eight years old, Archer poured his heart into fundraising for Camp Quality. After running the Sydney Mini Marathon, he kept going by creating beautiful lolly-filled glass gifts with help from his little brother Freddie and mum Lucy, selling them through school, sport, friends, family and his local community.
Archer raised more than $2,000 and was celebrated at school for his amazing effort. His kindness, determination and big heart are an inspiration, showing other kids that even small fundraisers can make a very big difference.
Jezza’s Jackpot
Keeping Jeremy’s light and laughter alive through a community raffle
When Cristy set out to honour her late brother Jeremy, affectionately known as Jezza, she wanted to keep his light, laughter and spirit alive. Through a heartfelt community raffle, Cristy raised an outstanding $18,026.43 for Camp Quality.
For Cristy, giving back was deeply personal after Camp Quality brought hope to her family during the darkest days of Jeremy’s cancer journey. We are incredibly grateful to Cristy and everyone who supported Jezza’s Jackpot for turning love, memory and community into a lasting impact for kids facing cancer.
Pristine Pools Super Splash
Poolside fun, superhero spirit and a community making waves for good
The superhero squad at Pristine Pools Canberra and NSW made a serious splash for Camp Quality, raising an amazing $10,026 for families facing childhood cancer. From costumed pool cleans to a splash-tacular BBQ at Black Mountain Peninsula, the day was filled with capes, smiles, sausages, raffles and plenty of community cheer.
Thank you to the Pristine Pools team and everyone who donated, dressed up, bought a sausage or cheered them on. Cape or no cape, these local legends helped turn everyday fun into real-life impact.
Locks for Laughs
Ten years of courage, community, laughter and generous giving
For 10 incredible years, Maureen and the Locks for Laughs team have turned courage, community and laughter into something extraordinary. What began with a group of volunteers shaving their heads, waxing arms and legs, and rallying support has grown into a much-loved fundraiser with quiz nights, sausage sizzles, market stalls and plenty of laughs along the way.
Together, the team has raised more than $100,000 for Camp Quality and contributed close to 140 years of volunteering. We are deeply grateful for their passion, dedication and heart, and for the joy they continue to bring to kids and families facing cancer.
