Christmas Light Display

By Monica Sirel

My family started Christmas lights when I was very young (at least 15 years ago) which the lights started with just 1 santa on the roof. It now has expanded to thousands of lights covering the entire front of the house and have encouraged other houses in the street with there own lights as well. Lighting up our house every year brings kids, families and the community togerther to share the joy and wonder of Christmas.

My family and I decided after a few years of open donations at our christmas lights (normally to Relay for Life - which we were participating in every Relay for Life), we decided to donate last year and to follow this through this year to Camp Quality.

I am coming up to 5 years of been a part of Camp Quality as a volunteer. It has been the most rewarding 5 years which I have thoroughly looked forward to participate in as many Camp Quality events as been involved in the camps and to see those smiles on the kids face and the families enjoying themselves on the family camps- the emotions are unnamable and very special. I look forward to many more years of involvement with Camp Quality however I look forward to bringing a very Giggly Christmas this year with our Christmas Lights.

 History of donations:

 2014 & 2015 - Cant remember

2016 - over $200 to Relay for Life

 2017 - over $300 to Camp Quality

I am hoping to spread out the word about our amazing lights so that all the families and kids will enjoy this display and have a very Merry Giggly Christmas. The other day we received a drawing from a young kid that thanked us for doing our lights each year and how much they enjoy visiting every year.

I’m fundraising to help Camp Quality

I’m fundraising to help Camp Quality support children with cancer. Because every day, two Aussie families are given the heartbreaking news that their child has cancer.

Camp Quality is committed to reshaping the mindset of a generation and to creating a more resilient, informed and compassionate young-adult population through our in hospital, at home, in school and recreation programs.

It would be awesome if you could help too, by donating to help me reach my target.

As they say at Camp Quality “laughter is the best medicine”, so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.
