Chris Goulding Cuts His Hair for Camp Quality

When Camp Quality became an official charity partner of Melbourne United last year, it was a partnership that just made sense.

Fast forward to today and Melbourne United has helped Camp Quality make a difference in the community, through a variety of ways – and next month Chris Goulding will be adding to this effort in a unique way.

Camp Quality aims to provide life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of children aged 0-13 living with cancer, while also supporting the family members of those living with the disease.

Programs run by Camp Quality are in hospitals, schools and homes, as well as providing camps and retreats for those who need it most.

Camp Quality’s motto of ‘laughter is the best medicine’ rings true with United and the Club has further connected to the community and brought some joy to those affected, through basketball.

Since becoming partners, Melbourne United has contributed upwards of $80,000 to the fundraising efforts of Camp Quality.

Whilst the Club is thrilled to be able to help Camp Quality continue their fantastic work in the community through fundraising, it’s the moments of joy on kid’s faces that are priceless to all involved.

"Kids facing cancer should still get the chance to be kids, to have fun and to enjoy life,’ Goulding said of his ambassador role with the charity.

“I’m so honoured to get to help make this happen and see the big smiles on their faces.”

Goulding’s involvement with the charity has always been hands-on, and in late July he will be taking his involvement to new heights in the ‘CG for CQ haircut’.

Goulding’s luscious locks have been a trademark of his for years now, but in an effort to raise much-needed funds for Camp Quality, he will be saying goodbye to his long hair next month!

With Goulding understanding and witnessing firsthand the great work of Camp Quality, the selfless move to trim his hair will give more kids and their families the opportunity to get involved with the charity.

Get behind the United skipper today and donate to this worthy cause; the highest donors will be given the chance to get involved with the haircut on Monday 22nd July.
