Kick for Camp Quality Raw Life Australia

I'm using my training to make life brighter for kids facing cancer!

I'm striking into action to make a difference! I'm taking on the Kick for Camp Quality challenge to raise funds and brighten the lives of kids facing cancer.

My Challenge: To complete my challenge level every day from 16th May to 27 June.

  • 250 strikes per day

It’s going to be tough on my old gnarled body but nothing compared to what these kids go through.

Every month, 64 kids are diagnosed with a cancer. Camp Quality's programs and services help families build optimism and resilience through community, education and fun. They support kids (0-15) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis or the diagnosis of a sibling, parent, or carer every step of the way.

Please donate to my page and help give kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again.

Kicking and striking for quality!

From May 16 to June 27, the crew at Raw Life Australia will be taking part in a 6-week challenge to raise money for Camp Quality, an organisation that supports kids and families affected by cancer.

The idea is simple.

People commit to doing a certain number of strikes each day.
Some might do 25.
Some 50.
Some more.

Every strike counts.

But this isn’t really about punches and kicks.

It’s about perspective.

Cancer has touched our family and many people close to us in different ways over the years. My wife Lis has battled breast cancer and other horrendous things. Geordie experienced it from a completely different perspective as both a teenager and a young adult being in support and giving care. I have lost a brother and several other people I care about over the years to this horrendous disease.

So, this challenge isn’t coming from obligation or guilt.
It’s coming from gratitude.

The ability to move, train, laugh, breathe, sweat, and spend time with good people is something many of us take for granted until life reminds us otherwise.

That’s why we wanted this to feel less like a fundraise and more like a community coming together to do something positive.

No pressure.
No perfection.
No macho nonsense.

Just people doing what they can.

Some participants will train at the gym.
Some will do their strikes at home.
Some will jump into kickboxing, fitness, or self-defence sessions over the 6 weeks.
Some may just donate and support from the sidelines.

All of it matters.

One of the things we talk about a lot at Raw Life Australia is that small actions, done consistently, can create massive change over time.

This challenge is really just another version of that.

A few strikes each day.
A few dollars raised here and there.
A few people coming together for something bigger than themselves.

And before you know it…it adds up.

If you’d like to support the fundraiser, sponsor someone taking part, or even jump in and join us yourself, we’d love to have you involved.

Because at the end of the day:

Do what you can.
It all counts.
