What is Motocyc?

Bikes, Buddies & Bitumen!

Motocyc 4 Kids is all about motorbikes, mateship and one common goal - raising funds for kids impacted by cancer.

The ride is made up of a group of like-minded, passionate people who believe in Camp Quality and enjoy supporting children and their families while having fun and exploring regional Australia. Together they raise funds and awareness while enjoying an awesome 3-day adventure together!!!

This ride will be challenging, covering some 1200km of winding roads through remote regional NSW locations in just 3 days! The best part of this event is that every dollar you raise goes directly to give kids facing cancer the chance to be kids again.

In 2021 we are excited to include a route for riders who like going a bit off the beaten track and will include a second route which will involve dirt roads through some spectacular areas. So we will have a road only group and a road & dirt group riding from the same destination and meeting at similar times along the route.

Date: Friday 26th March to Sunday 28th March 2021

The Route: Heatherbrae – Port Macquarie – Armidale– Newcastle

Day 1: Heatherbrae – Dungog – Bulahdelah – Kramback – Port Macquarie

Day 2: Port Macquarie – Kempsey - Armidale 

Day 3: Armidale – Nowendoc – Nundle – Newcastle @ The Commonwealth Hotel

NOTE: Bituman and Dirt road ride groups will start and finish at the same spots and will meet up during the day at  different points. On the Friday a school visit will be included for both groups to experience Camp Quality's Primary School Education Program.


HOW DO I REGISTER?

Well here’s what you’re going to need:

  • P2 or open motorbike licence and an open licence for dirt road ride
  • A registered and insured motorbike
  • And all relevant safety gear which must be worn at all times through the ride

To join us for the full three days you will also need to:

  • Be available from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th March, 2021
  • Complete one group ride hosted by the Motocyc Commitee prior to the event - this is compulsory
  • The MOTORvation to raise at least $1,000 or more for an amazing cause!

Meet Damian Charleson

Motocyc is the brainchild of Camp Quality volunteer Damian Charleson who dreamed of uniting dedicated members of the community to give back.

“I’ve been assisting Camp Quality to organise Motocyc since its’ first year in 2016 and I want to help make it bigger and better every year so that we can continue to raise money for kids that have been impacted by cancer.Motocyc is inclusive of all riders and we have some very experienced people on the ride who will really look out for those new to the event.  I can’t even begin to describe the culture of this event. It’s all about working together, making new friends, sharing plenty of laughs and good times; all while raising money for the kids.” Damian Charleson
