MEET THE ESCARPADE COMMUNITY

Meet Rachel
Meet Rachel Gibbeson, our Motoring Events Specialist for the East Coast. Rach looks after our esCarpadians from their initial enquiry until after the event takes place.
How long you have worked at Camp Quality and which events do you look after?
I joined Camp Quality in 2019 and deliver the esCarpade and Funx4 events.
What is your favourite part of esCarpade?
esCarpade is one of the best weeks of the year! The fun, the people and the camaraderie on esCarpade is like no other. The event really changes your life.
What are you excited about for the 2023 event?
I’m really driven to grow our numbers for the 2023 event and exceed everyone’s expectations.
We are one big esCarpade family and we are always looking to have new members join. I would encourage anyone who is thinking about joining to give me a call so I can tell you why this event is one to add to your bucket list!

Meet Ben
How long have you worked with Camp Quality and which events are you involved in?
I’ve been involved with Camp Quality since 2004. Since then, I have mapped out 17 x esCarpades, 3 x wesCarpades and 3 x FUNx4 events, visited over 250 regional towns, driven around 207,000km with over 100,000km of that on dirt, crossed deserts, scrambled up Billy Goat Bluff and eaten close to 380 pub meals.
What's your favourite part of esCarpade?
I like watching the reaction on people’s faces when they hop out of the car either at lunch or the end of the day. Responses include: "That was amazing", "We are definitely getting air conditioning next year", "I’m going to throttle you!" and "Has anyone seen our exhaust?"
What are you excited about for the 2023 event?
esCarpade has never gone as far north as we are going in 2023. I’m looking forward to having a lay day in Rocky with everyone.
What is a fun fact about you?
Two fun facts: I have a blue English Staffie called Scout, and in high school I was in the school musical with Hugh Jackman.

Our Community
The very first esCarpade took place way back in 1992, had 25 cars, and raised $75,000.
Fast forward to today, and our esCarpadians have driven 75,000km, shared countless laughs, and raised over $22 million for Camp Quality and its work helping children whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

Going on track was a privilege: meeting the entrants and hearing their stories; riding with charlie for a morning; the entertainment in forbes was great; coffs harbour BEING so much fun. the family feeling, the laughter, the party with a purpose... honestly, the best-run cq event i have ever been a part of!

So many great memories; it's the escarpadians, officials, AND the cars. the drive-byS past the schools were great.

the whole trip was amazing but retrieving vehicles from mud was definitely fun!

spending time in other cars to get to know people on the rally. I only got to jump in two different cars and had an absolute ball. being a cherry I didn't quite know what to expect, but straightaway i felt like i was part of a big family, with lots of laughs and chats.
