TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SUNSHINE COAST REC PRECINCT, SUNSHINE COAST
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before registering for Camp Quality’s Drop From The Top event, taking place at The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct (The Venue).
I understand that by registering for Camp Quality’s Drop From The Top 2026, (The Event), I accept and agree to the Event's Terms & Conditions.
- I understand that any changes to the Terms & Conditions are at the discretion of Camp Quality and can occur at any time.
- If changes to the Terms & Conditions are made, registered individuals will be notified by Camp Quality and an updated version of the Terms & Conditions will be made available on the Camp Quality Drop From The Top website.
- I acknowledge that participation in the Event may involve physically demanding and high-risk recreational activities, including activities conducted at height, and that participation carries inherent risks including injury, illness, psychological distress, paralysis or death. I voluntarily assume all such risks associated with participation.
- I confirm that I will be 18 years or older on the day of the event.
- Camp Quality may vary the advertised Giant Swing during the Event at the discretion of Camp Quality or The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct.
- I acknowledge that Camp Quality may implement measures to protect any participants or attendees of the Event, including Camp Quality employees, volunteers and third-party contractors, and that I must comply with these measures for the duration of the Event.
- I confirm that I am medically and physically fit to participate in the Event and have disclosed to Camp Quality any medical condition, injury, disability or medication that may affect my safe participation.
- Camp Quality reserves the right to refuse participation where it reasonably believes participation may pose a risk to the individual or others.
- In the event of illness or injury during the Event, I authorise Camp Quality and/or emergency personnel to arrange medical treatment considered reasonably necessary, including ambulance transport.
- Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings. Camp Quality accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
- Under the Australian Consumer Law and Civil Liability Act 2002 (NSW): Participation in recreational activities supplied by Camp Quality may involve significant risks of physical harm. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these obvious and inherent risks and agree that Camp Quality’s liability for recreational services is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.
2. Registration
- Registration for the Event closes on Thursday, 17th September 2026 at 5pm AEST.
- I acknowledge that as a participant of Drop From The Top I am committing to raising a minimum $5,000 with the support of Camp Quality’s fundraising team.
- I acknowledge that late registrations are generally not accepted. However, late registrations may be accepted at the discretion of the Camp Quality.
3. Fundraising and Fundraising Minimum
- I commit to raising a minimum fundraising amount of AUD $5,000 (“Minimum Commitment”). All fundraising for the 2026 event must be submitted by Wednesday, 16th September 2026.
- I acknowledge that I may be disqualified from participating in the Event if the Minimum Commitment has not been raised by Wednesday 16th September 2026.
- I acknowledge that I or my employer have the option of making a donation to my fundraising page by Wednesday 16th September 2026 to ensure that I meet the Minimum Commitment to participate in the Event.
- I consent to Camp Quality using information obtained and/or photographic images and video taken (the Content), to promote Camp Quality’s charitable purposes, its programs, events and fundraising including, but not limited to, social media platforms, publications, campaigns, promotional videos, websites and other related methods of promotion in both electronic and printed formats. The content will be used for such purposes by Camp Quality for a period of no more than three years from image/video content capture date.
- I acknowledge that I can revoke this consent at any time by advising Camp Quality in writing to our privacy officer at [email protected]
- I acknowledge that I have read and understood Camp Quality’s Privacy Policy, (click here to view), which provides further information about how Camp Quality may collect, use and manage personal information including photos and recordings.
- I acknowledge that the Event operates in the outdoors, in variable weather conditions, at The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct. Consequently, there are many risks factors that Camp Quality needs to take into account when deciding to proceed with or cancel the Event.
- Camp Quality, or The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct, reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to cancel the Event, or make any modifications to the Event as it considers necessary in the circumstances. Camp Quality will notify all participants of the cancellation or modifications of the Event as soon as practicable.
- I acknowledge that if the Event is cancelled because Camp Quality, or The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct, determines, in its absolute discretion, that the Event cannot be held in a safe way, or due to extreme weather risks, bush fire risk, or due to restrictions imposed upon it by land holders, stakeholders, or the inability of key suppliers to support the Event or any such similar circumstance, no financial reimbursement will be made by Camp Quality.
- In case of Event cancellation, for any reason, I acknowledge that all funds I have already raised for Camp Quality up to the date of and post Event cancellation are non-refundable and may be used by Camp Quality for its charitable purposes.
- If the Event is postponed to an alternative date, Camp Quality will advise all participants as soon as is practical.
6. Participant and Visitor Behaviour
Camp Quality’s Drop From The Top is a fundraising event held at The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct, where Camp Quality hosts its Family Camp programs. The venue is not exclusively available for Camp Quality and as such, Camp Quality expects that participants and visitors of participants display behaviours that are in line with Camp Quality’s values. The following points outline the minimum standards Camp Quality expects from everybody involved in the Event, whether it be staff, volunteers, contractors, event participants and / or visitors. By participating in Camp Quality’s Drop From The Top, you agree to Camp Quality’s right to exclude any participant and visitor at its own discretion should they, in Camp Quality’s view, not meet the minimum code of conduct standards.- Drugs and Alcohol
- The Event is a drug and alcohol-free event for all participants, employees, volunteers and any venue visitors during the Event
- I agree that I will not participate in the Event under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs or bring any alcohol or illegal drugs to the venue.
- Smoking
- All participants, employees, volunteers and any venue visitors must refrain from smoking, including e-cigarettes, at the event venue including any vehicle parking areas.
- Respect and inclusion
- Camp Quality has zero tolerance towards aggressive, anti-social and non-inclusive behaviour. It is expected that all people treat each other with respect, and be inclusive of Camp Quality’s diverse community.
- Appropriate and respectful language and tone are expected at all times during the event.
- Child Safety
- Camp Quality considers any form of child / young person abuse, inclusive of emotional, physical, sexual abuse or neglect, as intolerable, under any circumstances.
- Camp Quality has zero-tolerance towards abuse and neglect of children and young people.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law and subject to clause 7.2, the Venue will not be liable to the Participant for any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage, property loss/damage and damage for personal injury) which occurs at the Venue or which arises out of or in connection with the services supplied.
- The Venue does not make any warranty, express, implied or otherwise in relation to the condition of the Venue nor the extent nor the quality of the services or facilities provided by the Venue, except to the extent required by law. If the Venue is liable for a breach of any warranty implied by the provisions of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Venue’s liability will be limited to supplying the services again or the cost of having the services supplied again, at the Venue’s absolute discretion.
- The Participant will indemnify and keep indemnified the Venue and / or their Staff against and from all expenses, costs, liabilities, claims, actions, proceedings, damages, judgments and losses of any kind whatsoever that may be suffered by the Venue and/or their Staff and which arise, directly or indirectly, in connection the Participants’ visit to the Venue except to the extent caused or contributed to by any negligence or wilful act or omission of the Venue or their Staff.
- The Participant must comply with all reasonable directions of Staff. All persons must respect the buildings and equipment on the Site. No person may interfere with any Fire-Equipment and / or alarms. No fire may be lit on the Site without the prior consent of the Staff and local fire authorities. Breakages and damages must be reported to the Staff immediately. All such breakage or damage must be paid for.
- The Venue is an environmentally friendly facility. Flora and Fauna may be appreciated but must not be disturbed. The natural beauty of the Site must be preserved for all to enjoy.
- The Venue retains the right to require any Participant, employee, volunteer or venue visitor to leave the Site in the event of any behaviour or conduct which is illegal, offensive, inappropriate, or constitutes a nuisance to other persons on the Site.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Camp Quality excludes liability for any personal injury, property damage, loss, delay or expense arising from participation in the Event, except where caused by Camp Quality’s negligence or as otherwise required by law
- The Participant agrees to indemnify Camp Quality against any loss, damage, liability or expense arising from the Participant’s unlawful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions during the Event.
- Participants must comply with all applicable public health requirements, and directions given by Camp Quality staff, volunteers, contractors, activity operators and venue personnel in relation to safety or emergency management.
- Participants may be held responsible for costs arising from wilful, reckless or negligent damage caused to venue property, equipment or facilities.
- Camp Quality reserves the right to disqualify or exclude the Participant from further participation in the Event if:
- The Participant breaches the Terms & Conditions outlined in this document
- Does not meet Camp Quality’s expectations of Participant Code of conduct.
- Has not made a concerted effort to achieve their minimum fundraising goal of $5,000.
- Does not comply with any Terms and Conditions set by The Sunshine Coast Rec Precinct which can be viewed on the venue website
- I understand that breaching these Terms & Conditions may result in my immediate disqualification from the Event by Camp Quality and that this will exclude me from further participation in the Event. In such case, I confirm that Camp Quality will not be held responsible for any financial loss or damage I may suffer as a result of my disqualification and exclusion from the event.
- These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of QLD where the Event is being held.
