Camp Quality believes every Australian child impacted by cancer should have every opportunity to thrive. We do this by providing innovative programs and services to develop life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of children aged 0 – 13 growing up with cancer, and their families. Watch this video to see how we do it.
Helping everywhere we can
When cancer impacts your life it isn’t restricted to a time or place. That’s why we provide support in four different areas of life.
Cancer impacts families financially, as well as emotionally. Family Fun Days and Family Experiences give families the chance to reconnect and create memories outside of hospital. Our Kids’ Guide to Cancer app provides children essential information when facing the diagnosis of a loved one.
We provide face to face support in hospitals with Family Liaison Coordinators, Child Life Therapists and our puppets – Kylie, Dean and Melissa to support kids impacted by cancer. Our Beads of Courage program uses unique beads to track each procedure of a child’s cancer experience - such as blood tests, central lines, radiation sessions and surgery; as kids proudly collect beads to tell their own courageous story.
Our Primary School Education puppet show travels throughout Australia dispeling myths and creating supportive communities for any child affected by cancer. Our special puppet shows bring laughter and positivity to schools and can have a big impact on children’s confidence.
Away from it all
We offer a variety of camps for families and kids of different ages all packed full of fun activities. We also organise retreats allowing families to get away from it all and spend quality time together. Kids’ Camps and Family Camps across Australia build life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of kids impacted by cancer, and their families. Our Retreats are an opportunity for families to get away together and make new memories following treatment, and in the case of palliative care or bereavement.
