Why Camp In?

We are all looking forward to the end of iso. But for families facing cancer, compromised immune systems mean every germ is a serious threat, not just COVID-19. So when Australia’s isolation ends, stress and anxiety won’t end for Camp Quality families.

That’s why we are calling on Australians to Camp In on July 4th and help give the 7,000 kids and 18,000 family members who are waiting for the fun and safety of a Camp Quality  program the break from cancer they urgently need. We are planning 2020 programs now, you can help us make them a reality.

Give Aussie kids and their families a break from the stresses of cancer, Camp In for Camp Quality.

Funds raised will help Camp Quality continue to support kids and their families facing cancer with services and programs

In hospital

Our Camp Quality Family Program Coordinators, Child Life Therapists and the Camp Quality Puppets – Kylie, Dean and Mel visit children diagnosed with cancer in hospitals around the country every week. They are a friendly face and provide much needed support during such a stressful time.

At school

Our Primary School Education Program travels throughout Australia dispeling myths and creating supportive communities for any child affected by cancer. Our special puppet shows bring laughter and positivity to schools and can have a big impact on children’s confidence.

At home

Camp Quality supports families at home with Camp Quality’s Happiness Hub website and New Normal Navigator and Kids’ Guide to Cancer apps. Families also have opportunities to reconnect and meet others in a similar situation on Family Fun Days and Family Experiences.

Away from it all

We offer a variety of camps for families and kids of different ages all packed full of fun activities. We also organise retreats allowing families to get away from it all and spend quality time together. Kids’ Camps and Family Camps across Australia build life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of kids impacted by cancer, and their families. Our Retreats are an opportunity for families to get away together and make new memories following treatment, and in the case of palliative care or bereavement.

Camp In!

Simone and her beautiful family started with Camp Quality in 2015 when Hayden was just 4 years old. Hayden was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour, but had twin sister, Carlee and older brother, Riley by his side! Together, they are going to Camp In on Saturday 4 July to help other families going through what they went through.... and they're already getting the campsite ready!
